My nephew had a party over 20 in November and there was no problem, but you do have to make reservations. And everyone has to be there before you are seated.

Just take the drive out to the Canton location. I was told that they did not have any more pepper that I could use but when I looked at another table there was definitely some pepper being used. multiple people that I dined with were missing ingredients that were supposed to be in their food.
Good! The new only sirloin menu is a little rough seeing im a ribeye lover but still good for social Distance measures.
Go to hartland location excellent food and staff there.Manager couldnt manage his way out of a cardboard box.
Cleaning rules were followed. Food was great as always. Just didn't like that we couldn't sit outside because we were only 2 and most tables were set up for 10. Plenty of room outside not being used.
Good food, kinda pricey but the dining experience was something fun and different.
The food is good quality, the novelty of cooking your steak yourself is unique and fun, and the atmosphere is nice. The staff is friendly and helpful when ordering and explaining how to cook your food. They have a good bar with plenty of beer, wine, and cocktails. It can get a little loud, but not out of hand. The experience and food is well worth a visit.
When you leave this place all your clothes are going to smell like you worked in a restaurant all day. The restaurant is very loud and the floor is slick because everyone's cooking at their own table so the grease from cooking is all over the tables, the menus, and the chairs, and everything else. With all that being said it is a fun concept and we did have a good time. The food tastes good because I'm the one that cooked it. Enjoy.
My wife and I dined in on June 10th. Joel was our waiter and did a fabulous job. We’ve been to this establishment 3 times so far and this was the best service so far. Food was amazing and we’ll definitely be back.
Love this place. Fresh, healthy delicious and quick! Large portions, so I always have leftovers! I literally crave this place. I usually get it to go, but it is super cute and clean inside. Staff is always friendly too!
Great food and experience! They were extremely cognizant of social distancing. Entire staff wearing masks, sanitizing every table and chair when a customer leaves. Excellent service!
It was our first time so we let the waitress know She didn't explain what the black rock was supposed to do for our steak. It took a long time before we received our order she never came to check how things were and when we got our rock to cook our steak it wasn't as hot as it was supposed to be. they let our food sit and it was cold. once they got everything right the food was great The service was not. We plan on going again hopefully second time will be better 🤨
I always love going to this place I just went 2 days ago woke up wanting it again if u wanna have great food come to black Rock it is a perfect place to eat and watch sports
There is a ad for all you can eat crab leg at the black rock in Heartland, Michigan for now until January 12. But when you go there its not true. I would never recommend black rock to any body. If asked I will tell everyone to not eat there. Don't post things if it's not true shame on you
We tried this restaurant per the suggestion of the front desk staff at our hotel. For any who may not know, the concept here is that you cook your own meat on a hot rock. (I believe that you can order your meal fully cooked, if you choose.) I really enjoyed cooking my own meat, as each piece was done exactly to my liking. I enjoy my meat very rare though, so it was an easy process; this could be more difficult, or at least time consuming, for those who prefer their meat well done. The beer list was fine for me, same for apps & desserts. Our table had tuna, filet, and shrimp and everyone was pleased! I left one star off for two reasons - 1) the tables are a little small, considering how much maneuvering was required to cook your own meal, and 2) the service was a little slow the evening we were there - the restaurant was definitely packed.Edited: same day to add photo. Note, forgot to take photo until meal was devoured. Meat was good size, asparagus and mashed potatoes were delish!
Great service, as expected just like the one in Troy. Wait was a little long for the food to come, maybe because of covid. But great service and great people. Yes, you can bring your own birthday cake (unlike the one in canton)
Overall we had a great meal! Service could of been a little better! It’s something to try once, probably will not be back. There’s a ton of other places to get a great steak! You go here for the experience of cooking your steak on a black rock!
Absolutely wonderful. I have ZERO complaints and the food was exceptionally delicious. I will always make it an effort to dine here when I'm in the area. (Come to Lansing, Black Rock...Please)
I've never had a bad time at Black Rock (at least I know my steak will be cooked how I like.) I also enjoyed left overs the next day. This was my first time at this location. We were celebrating a birthday and had a good time.
The management was so nice! We had to wait awhile for an outdoor table and they gave us 20% off the bill. Our waiter was really nice too and the food was great! Would recommend

This place was amazing! Saw a commercial at a local theater and decided I had too try it out. Great menu, great bar and excellent service
Great food. Good service. Would be 5 stars but they need better ventilation so you don't smell like smoke from all the cooking at the tables. Still worth going though!
It was our first time stepping out sense covid 19. The service was great the food was phenomenal. But was just a little bit of a wait. But didnt mind cuz the experience was awsome.
Great spot to grab drinks and dinner - maybe watch a football game while you're at it. They have a large menu, nice big booths, big bar, and a ton if huge flat screens! Plus, the food is really good! So are the drinks - especially the very fun color changing magic potion 🔮🍸. The crab cake stuffed mushrooms are great and honestly enough to eat as an entree, their mash potatoes are delicious, and the rock sauce is superb! It's like creamy, cheesy, salty (in the best, not overpowering, way!), smokey goodness! Oh and the clam chowder!!! And the dessert! The giant cookie with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, and chocolate shell drizzle - swoon worthy! Bottom line - go check it out! I promise its worth it!

This is my favorite place for steak. Many don't like the idea to have to cook your own steak, but they are great cuts. The fun is in the conversation and watching each person method of cooking their meat. I like their steak sauce and Casino Butter and cut smaller pieces to cook quick and little bitesWe have been there often enough to know when we order the two sides they come on separate plates. So we order soup and salad to comes first. Then the veggie that comes with the steak doesn't crowd the table.Also cover your phone and glasses as the steak splatters as I add the Casino Butter to the black rock. Beware that you will walk out smelling like you grilled. I love it and can't wait to return.
Steak was 5 stars, tender and absolutely delicious. Sides were cold and sent back and one didn't arrive until the end of the meal. So, we went for the steak and it didn't disappoint. Rest of the meal was 1 star. Waitress was nice but absent. Restaurant needs to take a day and scrub the place down from top to bottom.
Love the cook on your own concept. Last bite is warm as the first. And lots of affordable options
I called for the first time to set up a reservation for Priority Seating and they were so polite. We went on my birthday tonight and it was my first time there and had a lovely time. Definitely will be going back!

Probably the friendliest bar I've ever visited. Mary is an especially wonderful bartender. She is fantastic
